I decided years ago that I wouldn’t “plan out” my life. So don’t ask what my 5 or 10 year plan is because I don’t have one. I realized that a life of following Jesus is the greatest adventure one could ever go on, for many reasons, but included is that I have found myself in places I could’ve never imagined or planned out.
I spent 7 years working in a church doing local outreach and next generation ministries at a church plant, all while completing my Masters of Theology at Tyndale Seminary. I also completed a one-year certificate program at Bodenseehof Bible School in Germany. All of these things I did not envision happening in my life, but it was all very rich.
Then in the fall of 2021, I resigned from my role at the church and entered limbo. The last few months of that year included becoming a fitness instructor at a gym (which I still currently do on the side) while I tried to discern my next steps.
The next step included moving to Hamilton, Ontario as a total leap of faith, as well as accepting a job with an incredible organization, Hope Story. I also live in a home as a house manager that is run by Act Five, a gap year discipleship program for students just out of high school.
In my spare time, I love hiking, rock climbing, ultimate frisbee, playing piano or guitar, or baking something dough-y. I also podcast because I think people are really cool, and I love learning from others.
